where’s tony?*

challenge

tigers are disappearing fast. over the last century, their numbers have fallen from 100,000 to fewer than 3,900.

idea

to shine a light on the plight of tigers, we’re taking tony out of the box. in his place: nothing. just a silhouette. tony won’t return to the box, commercials, p.o.p., or anywhere he used to appear until the tiger population grows. everything we do will show that all tigers need saving, because in the immortal words of tony, “they’re gr-r-reat.”

*gr-r-reatness pending

since 1952 tony the tiger has been on every box of frosted flakes. removing him will start a conversation about our disappearing tigers.

tony will be missing from social

everywhere. we hope to bring our tigers back soon, with a little help from our 🐯
